MEET KATIE

Katie Baldwin is the principal and award winning designer at Katie Baldwin Designs located in Lakeville, Connecticut. A specialist in window treatments, she creates well-planned spaces that are traditional with a twist.  From beginning concept to finished project, Katie works closely with each client on every detail, taking any trace of worry off your mind. She also takes budgets very seriously and maintains clear communication with the client throughout the entire project on the budget status.  Katie serves on the board of the Interior Design Society Connecticut chapter.

 

Katie currently works with clients in New England, New York Metro Area and beyond.

Education & Accreditations:

Before pursuing a career in Interior Design, Katie worked in the fashion industry for over 17 years managing a multi-million dollar business. She feels that this experience gave her a strong understanding of building budgets and collections and why that is so important. As Katie loves to say, “I used to dress people, now I dress their homes!”

 

Katie studied at the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) and also under Robin Bell of Robin Bell Design. She studied Classical Architecture in Rome and completed the Designer MBA course with Tobi Fairley at the Tobi Fairley School for Interior Design. Katie is a Certified Real Estate Stager, Certified in Classical Art & Architecture, and a Certified True Color Expert.

MEET LINDSAY

Lindsay has been office assistant at KBD since November of 2022. This is Lindsay’s first role in the world of interior design. She loves to organize and has helped quite a few of our clients transform their spaces!!!! 

She is from a very small town in upstate NY and grew up on a small dairy farm. She showed cows at the county, state and international fairs. She absolutely loved it! This led to multiple jobs in the dairy industry followed by her bachelors degree ant SUNY Cobleskill where met husband. Later, she worked at his his farm in East Canaan, CT, Laurelbrook Farm. This work was hard and honest and has given her the skills that she now uses every day!
